Incorporating a lightweight ABS plastic injection moulded frame, the Pipercross high flow foam performance air filter is an easy direct replacement for the standard filter element.
Power and torque are improved and in addition, by using a combination of multiple layers of foam in each filter, Pipercross road-use air filter elements can flow air up to three times longer than cotton-gauze filters before servicing.

Race Spec Air Filters
Race specification filters allow maximum possible airflow and as such, are not suitable for use on the road.
A race specification air filter is currently available for the R6 (MY2006) that allows the removal of the OE air restrictor along with a race specification grade of foam for improved power gains. Fuelling modifications are required for use with this race spec filter (eg, Power Commander).
